Jennifer Johnson is Nation Outside's Deputy Coordinator and has been a Flint Chapter member since 2019. She is a Certified Community Health Worker and Co-Chair of Michigan Community Health Workers Alliance (MiCHWA) Network. She is the eyes and ears of the community and a catalyst for integrated health and wellness.
Jennifer has several health related certifications and spent five years as an educator building relationships in the public school system, designing rehabilitation programs, and engaging community organizations. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2013, and stands on her motto (J.U.S.T.I.C.E); Joining, Unity, Service, Truthfulness, Integrity, Compassion and Ethics as the foundation for an unbiased, effective and productive system.
Her undergrad thesis, Reentry Programs: Closing the Gap To Reduce Recidivism was inspired from her own system impact and believing in an organization that can rally the community to innovate and lead transformative change in the criminal punishment system. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Psychology from Walden University.
